Biopic or films based on real life personality or notable event is a fruitful trend in the Bollywood. Film makers have earned massive success in the present time with Biopics like Dangal, MS Dhoni, etc. The film fraternity is well aware that a biopic creates enough buzz, as the audiences want to know about the personal life of their favorite celebrities or historic characters. Let us discuss some exciting Bollywood projects which are based on the real life.
1.Soorma- based on the life of Hockey player Sandeep Singh. The movie will showcase his rise into the Indian hockey team where he helped the team to win a major tournament. His fall: when he succumbs to an accidental bullet injury and his struggle to overcome his physical issues and reclaim his position in the Indian team. Diljit Dosanjh would play the titular role. Tapsee Panu and Angad Bedi would portray other prominent roles. The flick would release in June 2018.
2.Manikarnika- The film is based on the life of freedom fighter Rani Laxmibai. Actress Kangana Ranaut is portraying the legendary character. Krish is directing this movie. Kangana in a dominant role of Jhansi ki Rani would be an impressive watch. Till now no release date has been announced.
3.Super 30- Hrithik is playing the role of Anand Kumar. Anand, who runs an institute that trains meritorious students from the poor background. The institute has a wonderful IIT admission record. The institute is known as Super 30 as thirty students are chosen and they qualify for the IIT. Hrithik Roshan is an exceptional actor and can create magic in any role.
4.Sanjay Dutt biopic- An interesting biopic on the life of Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt is under production. Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Sanjay Dutt, who had a turbulent life of ups and downs. Directed by the magical Raju Hirani, it also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza in the prominent roles. As per Hirani: the film is not based on the controversies of Sanjay’s life, however, focus would be on the father-son relationship. Paresh would portray his father Sunil Dutt, and Manisha would be playing Sanjay’s mother. Dia will play his wife Manyanta Dutt.
5.Saina Nehwal biopic- Shraddha Kapoor is finalized to play the role Olympic bronze medalist Saina Nehwal. Saina was recently in the limelight as she won the gold medal in the Commonwealth games.
6.Mogul- A biopic on the life of Gulshan Kumar is under discussion. Earlier the makers announced this biopic with Akshay Kumar in the lead role. As per the recent news Akshay has walked out of the movie because of some creative differences. Gulshan Kumar was the successful T-Series baron. He revolutionized the music industry with his low-priced cassette sales. He was instrumental in generating a wave of Hindu devotional song. Underworld eliminated him as Gulshan had some nasty differences with the music director Nadeem of Nadeem- Sharvan duo.
7.Salute- The film would be based on the life of Air force pilot Rakesh Sharma. Rakesh traveled in space and spent about seven days. It was a joint programmed of India and Russia. Earlier, Aamir Khan was supposed to do this movie. Promptly, the name of Shahrukh Khan has emerged as a leading contender for the role.
